The BMA board of directors and staff, executive director Wendy Sweet and trails program director Mike Rutter, headed down to Salida Nov. 5 – 7 for a weekend of strategic planning. New board recruits Brooke Goudy and Stephen Barnes also attended. The board weighed community input gathered from our 2021 Survey along with BMA’s mission statement to direct short and longer term goals and priorities.  Among the many planning sessions, the board discussed:

  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
  • E-bikes
  • Advocacy – priorities, opportunities and a reimagined committee
  • IMBA affiliation
  • Fundraising
  • Approving 2022 budget

We’ll be rolling out community listening events and more ways to be involved in the coming months, stay ‘tuned!

And of course we couldn’t get together without some fun on S Mountain, a board that rides together jives together.
