Look how far we’ve come

We recently revisited Boulderides, a 1995 ride guide booklet, and were reminded just how limited mountain biking in Boulder County once was. Aside from Walker Ranch and Brainard Lake/Peaceful Valley, most of the rides it featured were on dirt roads or outside the county altogether. Local riders had few options for singletrack and often had to travel far for a real mountain biking adventure.

Fast forward to today, and the transformation is remarkable. Thanks to the efforts of BMA and the support of riders like you, Boulder County now offers a diverse and thriving network of trails. Together, we’ve:

  • Built and improved miles of singletrack trails
  • Enhanced access to local riding opportunities
  • Connected communities through trails designed for everyone to enjoy.

This progress is the result of years of advocacy, collaboration, and dedication. But there’s more work to do. Your support ensures we can continue expanding and improving trails, bringing even more fun to Boulder’s outdoor community.
