On July 31, 15 members of Brute Squad (ranging from 18 to 62 years old) took to the trails outside of Laramie to represent BMA in the latest running of the Laramie Range Epic. The single-lap version of this race is 31 miles with 7500 feet of climbing on some of the best and toughest singletrack that the Pole Mountain trail system has to offer. After 13 weeks of training, the race provided a great tune-up for the Brute’s upcoming end-of-season race, the 50-mile Dakota Five-O in Spearfish, South Dakota on Labor Day weekend. Thanks to all of our athletes for bringing the energy on race day, and congrats to all for a great effort!

Best of luck to Pete Gruenberger, who starts his Breck Epic adventure in just a few days, and to Deb Cantrell, who departs next week on an attempt to bikepack the entire length of the Colorado Trail. Go Brutes!
