At the June 1, 2023 Boulder City Council meeting, council voted 7-0 to approve the use of Class 1 and 2 e-bikes on some OSMP open space trails. This change will go into effect on July 1.
Boulder City Council will consider e-bikes on certain Open Space & Mountain Parks trails at a city council meeting with a public hearing on Thursday, June 1.
BMA agrees with the OSMP staff recommendation that the OSMP charter should be amended to include e-biking as a passive recreational activity permissible on open space and allowed only on certain designated trails.
