At BMA, we ride bikes for a multitude of reasons: fun, fitness, transportation, and adventure. Our journeys take us from smooth roads to rugged trails, but no matter where we ride, safety should never be compromised. The White Line Foundation‘s mission to protect vulnerable road users aligns perfectly with BMA’s longstanding advocacy goals. We’ve always championed the creation of safe, seamless connections to and between our trail systems. This isn’t just about trails—it’s about ensuring that every rider’s journey, from home to trailhead, is secure.

On August 11th, the community came together in the Ride for Magnus, joining cyclists of all kinds, including mountain bikers, to honor Magnus’ legacy and promote safer roads. It was a powerful reminder of the diverse community that unites in the name of cycling safety.

By supporting initiatives like the White Line Foundation and Ride for Magnus, we’re not only advocating for trail access but also for safer roadways. We encourage everyone to take action on three critical levels:

National: Push for Automatic Braking Systems.
State: Demand stricter Driver Accountability.
Local: Sign petitions to improve Infrastructure.

Together, we can make every ride safer, whether on pavement or dirt. Please take a minute to sign your name:
