Officer Mitch is a 28-year officer at the Boulder Police Department and is the Community Services Officer, having served 15 years in the Downtown and Hill districts on bike. His projects and tasks fall under crime prevention and community engagement. Mitch is a bicycle advocate and lifelong cyclist; he is a bicycle commuter, bicycle trainer, mountain biker, bike camper, and has contributed to publications about bike safety and security. He provides education on a variety of topics to individuals and community groups in the City of Boulder to reduce crime, create partnerships, build trust, empower, and improve quality of life.
