Learning from a crash: your safety resources as a mountain biker

Join us at the Full Cycle Cafe & Bar on Tuesday, April 30 at 6:30 p.m. for a mountain bike safety event featuring Marcus Popetz, an experienced local mountain biker who will share his firsthand experience of being rescued by Rocky Mountain Rescue Group (RMRG) after a serious crash in October of 2023.

Marcus will share the events leading up to his accident, the importance of responsible riding, and how the RMRG team played a crucial role in his recovery. Following Marcus’s story, RMRG members will delve into the resources available to mountain bikers. Learn about trip planning essentials, rescue statistics, and what happens when self rescue isn’t an option.

Whether this will be your first season on a mountain bike or your 20th, you’re sure to find value through this informative and inspirational event. Gain valuable safety knowledge, ask questions, and leave feeling confident and prepared for your next mountain biking adventure!

Cost is $5/person (includes free drink!)
