The Details
BMA has received a “better late than never” OK from the Forest Service to tackle a few issues on the Middle Saint Vrain (MSV) trail at Peaceful Valley!
We’re tackling critical repairs on the MSV trail, starting with a long boardwalk near the top that’s begun to tilt. We’ll use a jack to lift and shim it back to level. We’re also replacing three culverts to fix water flow issues that are causing seepage across the trail—expect wet and muddy conditions. Bring knee boots, a change of clothes, and be ready to get dirty!
Please bring snacks, lunch and water and meet at the upper lot (google maps pin).
***If anyone has a cordless reciprocating saw with a couple metal blades—and maybe an extra battery?—that would be great!! We need to cut that culvert in the second pic as it’s bent almost in half. Also, if anyone has a Hi-Lift jack, that would be CLUTCH for lifting the bridge. We need to shim it in three spots to get it back to level(ish).
