BMA is kicking off our South Boulder trail building with a Doudy Draw project. The section of trail from the cattle grate to the intersection of Springbrook connector has badly eroded in the past few years.
Our biggest concern is trail braiding — when users start avoiding the main tread because it’s muddy or has too many loose rocks and create a new parallel trail. Because this new trail was not built correctly, it too will show the same issues in the future and users will create yet another trail.

Our volunteer trail days will concentrate on repairing the trail, closing trail braids and adding bike optimized features on the side of the trail. These features will be fun for mountain bikes and will also help keep all users to the trail.
