Wanna hit some brand-spanking-new sweet, sweet singletrack? Then head up to West Magnolia and check out (temporarily named) New 34. This as-yet-to-be-named trail connects the high point of Lookout to the high point of Hobbit 3 and makes for some great loop options. New 34 flows through the trees with several optional bike-optimized features to hit along the way. The biggest feature is about at the half way mark and is a rollable rock slab (look for the rusted engine block marking the entrance). You can ride this trail in either direction but you’ll get more flowy fun riding it south to north. And to make this easy for you, the West Mag Flow Tour is a short loop to try out some of the newer, flowier trails in West Mag.

And while we were up there this week, we worked on some of the intersection re-alignments outlined in the Magnolia Non-Motorized Trail Project. The intersection of Hobbit 1 and Re-Root now tie together and there’s about 660 feet of realigned singletrack.

Huge shout out to the USFS Boulder Ranger District, trailbuilders from Contour Logic, Gumption Trail WorksRocky Mountain Youth Corp, and our awesome BMA and US Bank volunteers for making this trail happen. And huge thanks to BMA members and donors – this trail was made possible by YOU!
