On September 15, BMA and City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) led a trail work day resulting in a rerouted trail section featuring tight turns, berms and bumps, and grade reversals.
By the numbers:
- 80 volunteers including 65 mountain bike team members of Fairview High School and Boulder High School
- 500 hours of trail work
- 1,000 feet of new trail!
Section by section the High Plains Trail in SoBo is becoming more fun, lower maintenance, less subject to mud closures, and a whole lot more sustainable.
