BMA helped organize a terrific winter trail use/etiquette education and outreach event at the Brainard Lake Recreation Area trailhead warming hut on Saturday, Feb. 29. The event was part of the introduction of the new winter trail etiquette poster that BMA worked on with the U.S. Forest Service Boulder Ranger District, Boulder Mountain Bike Patrol, Indian Peaks Wilderness Alliance, and Bryan Mountain Nordic Ski Patrol.
Lots of Brainard visitors stopped by to check out the poster, ask for trail recommendations and directions, learn more about the volunteer patrol groups, and warm up beside the wood-stove while enjoying cookies!
